Frances Jackson

For NC House

Dr. Frances Jackson is a long-time resident of Cumberland County and has lived in Hope Mills, North Carolina for over 25 years. A graduate of EE Smith Senior High School, home of the “Golden Bulls,” she attended North Carolina A&T State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Economics (Aggie Pride!). Frances attended Fayetteville State University and earned a Master of Arts in Political Science. Most recently, she earned a Ph.D. from Walden University in Public Policy and Administration.

Dr. Jackson has an extensive career in state and local government. She has served as a community planner and administrator for Cumberland County and the City of Fayetteville. She taught High School civics and economics at Hoke County High School. Most recently she served as a Cumberland County Magistrate. Frances has served on several local boards including the Hope Mills Zoning Commission, the Cumberland County ABC Board, and several scholarship committees.

Frances cites her dominant values like integrity, loyalty, and commitment. She takes these values seriously as they will guide her service as the representative for District 45. Her platform is focused on people, jobs, education, and the environment. People deserve healthcare and quality of life. Frances is a Christian and an active member of Kingdom Impact Global Ministries. She currently serves as the Steward Ministry, Chairperson. She is committed to bringing new jobs to District 45. She is supportive of a pay increase for teachers and support staff and in funding education at levels to best prepare children for success. She is committed to protecting our environment and maintaining clean air and water for our citizens.
