Did you know? Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson isn’t just full of hate, he’s also a big-time conspiracy theorist

Anyone who knows about Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson knows that he is homophobic, transphobic, antisemitic, Islamophobic, anti-science, anti-choice, pro-gun, anti-government, misogynistic and anti-education – but what you might not know is that he’s also a proud conspiracy theorist.

As much as Robinson’s gubernatorial campaign handlers may want to try to hide their boss’s hateful views, Robinson is who he is and he says what he wants to say and he doesn’t care who knows it or what they think about it. Where his campaign staff seemingly draws the line, though, is his conspiratorial beliefs.

Robinson was scheduled to appear at the ReAwaken America tour in Las Vegas from Aug. 25-26. The tour is a “traveling conspiracy theory exposition and political rally” that is being led by Gen. Michael Flynn and event founder Clay Clark, who is a podcast host that is currently being sued for defamation for claims about Dominion Voting Systems and the 2020 election, according to NPR.

The duo has been taking their tour across the country with a rotating cast of horrific right-wingers such as Sandy Hook school shooting denier Alex Jones, convicted witness tamperer Roger Stone, Neo-Nazi adjacent radio host Charlie Kirk and the election-denying MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell. The tour has also provided a friendly space for QAnon conspiracy theorists.

Robinson’s campaign announced last week that he would no longer be attending the event but did not provide a reason.

Let’s take a brief look at just some of the conspiracy theories Robinson has expressed belief in:

Robinson’s staff may be able to prevent him from showing up at conspiracy theorist events like ReAwaken America, still, they can’t erase the long paper trail showing the beliefs he shares with these same people.
