By signing any petition, taking part of any campaign (see Petitions and Surveys, below) or sharing the site content of PNCA, you consent to being an active Subscriber of the organization and receive all the rights and privileges of becoming a Subscriber of the group.
When you contribute to PNCA, either by mail, telephone or online, the donations are not deductible for federal income tax purposes and will not be used to support or oppose any candidates. When you sign up to receive our e-newsletter or through any of our action activities, PNCA asks you to include your name, zip code and email address. Subscriber Info
All information entered into PNCA by Subscriber is private to Subscriber except to the extent otherwise provided for herein or to the extent that Subscriber opts to share that information with other PNCA Subscribers and/or the public, through PNCA, the Site or otherwise. It is PNCA’s policy to respect the privacy of Subscribers. Therefore, without Subscriber's prior consent or to the extent otherwise provided for herein, PNCA will not disclose to any third party Subscriber's name or contact information. PNCA will also not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents of a Subscriber's information unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to the requirements of applicable law or comply with legal process served on PNCA; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of PNCA; or (3) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of any person; (4) fix or debug problems with the PNCA software/service. PNCA encourages Subscriber to visit this page periodically to review PNCA’s current policy.
Petitions and Surveys
For petitions and surveys signed or completed by Subscriber, PNCA may treat Subscriber's name, city, state, and comments as public information-for example, PNCA may provide compilations of petitions, with Subscriber's comments, to public officials, but in no such case may PNCA disclose Subscriber's street address, email address or phone number, without Subscriber's prior consent. PNCA may also make Subscriber's comments, along with Subscriber's first name, city, state, and country, available to the press and public online.
Emails
PNCA will enable Subscriber to send individual e-mails through the Site in Subscriber's name, and in connection with such emails, PNCA may disclose Subscriber's e-mail address as the return address to public officials. If Subscriber writes letters or emails to newspapers using the Site, PNCA may disclose Subscriber's email address and full name and contact information as part of the submission.
Data Tracking
From time to time, PNCA may periodically analyze web logs in order to understand traffic patterns and determine whether there are problems with the Site. PNCA may also use embedded images in emails to track open rates for mailings, so that PNCA can tell which mailings appeal most to PNCA Subscribers. In no case, however, shall PNCA disclose data about PNCA Subscribers' behavior to any organization other than PNCA.
URLs
PNCA may use URLs in emails that contain an id enabling PNCA to correctly identify the person who takes an action using a web page. PNCA may use these URLs to simplify the process of signing petitions and filling out surveys. PNCA may occasionally present a shortened URL that references a longer URL which contains an id in order to prevent links from becoming broken when copied, and to ensure compatibility with email programs which do not handle long URLs. If PNCA displays a shortened URL in an email, Subscriber may see the full URL in the browser's address bar when Subscriber accesses the page.
External Website Links And Third Parties
The PNCA privacy policy does not apply to external website links unless expressly stated and clearly defined as a project of PNCA. Furthermore, should Subscriber choose to voluntarily disclose information at http://www.progressncation.org ("Site"), that information can be collected by third parties. By registering with PNCA, Subscriber acknowledges that the use of information at the Site by third parties is beyond the control of PNCA and its affiliates and that PNCA is not responsible or liable for the conduct of third parties.
