Harvey L. West Jr. is a convicted sex offender who pled guilty to 16 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. Now he’s a major GOP fundraiser, and Rep. Sarah Stevens has sought and benefited from West’s backing.

Last fall, Stevens attended a fundraiser hosted by West at his home in eastern North Carolina. West’s background is well known and locals in the Outer Banks have been protesting his growing influence in GOP politics for a while. 

North Carolinians deserve elected officials who exercise good judgment and always prioritize our community’s safety. Tell Sarah Stevens we expect better.
